How I proposed to my girlfriend

So my girlfriend and I had our first date at Bricks Neapolitan Pizza (http://www.eatbricks.com/) in Hudson Wi in 2008. So I wanted to propose there. So in Febuary I ask Melissa if we could have a "Dress up date" at Bricks on 3/12/10, she said that would be awesome, and my planning started.

Since we make a scrapbook every year about us I decided to make 3 pages to start off our 2010 one. On the first page it said

As we start 2010 let us look back.........

We first ment at St. Paul Harding when you could not get your door to lock.

Our first date was at Bricks Neapolitan Pizza in Hudson, Wisconsing

Our firt time holiding hands was at IKEA in Bloomington, Minnesota

Our first PDA was holding hands, the whole night, at Chatterbox Pub in St. Paul, Minnesota

We took our first long motorcyle rid to Baraboo, Wisconson and back.

Let's have more firsts together!

You turn the page and it says, Melisssa, will you marry me, with a picture of the actual ring.

On the third page, is the coolest part. It starts of by saying "I hereby bestow my blessing on the marriage of Eric L. and Melissa L." under that it has her parents, sister best friend, my parents brother, sister in law and grand mothers names and signatures. I asked all of them if they would give their blessings on our marriage. Which they all did. And I asked them to come and celebrate with us at the resturant after I proposed.

So we go to Ikea 3/12/10 and we wander around for an hour or so. All the time I'm carring the ring in my jacket pocket so I know where it is at all times. After IKEA we go check into the hotel, go in the hot tub and then start getting ready. We had a deadline and we couldn't miss it. I told the resturant that we would be there between 7:00 and 7:!5. I was planning on proposing at 7:30.

We arrive at Bricks at 7:15. Before we go in I pull a gift back out of my trunk and tell Melissa that I have a gift for her. She is a little suspisious but nothing I can't handle. We go in they seat us. At exactly 7:30 pm a song comes on over the sound system its Lucky by Jason Miraz and Colby Calliet, our eventual first dance song at our wedding. Which I coordinated with the resturant.

I give Melissa the book she reads the first page. She turns to the second page and is shocked. I get down on one knee and tell her that she is my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life, and will you marry me. She said yes.

After that it was a whrlwind. Our families showed up and we had dinner then went and had drinks in Stillwater. It was an amazing night.

Oh, so I had help from Bricks. Salena and Hannah were awesome. And Hannah, was our server at our first date in 2008, I recognized her tattoos.
