AVP Hot Winter Nights - Minneapolis, MN 1/29/09
I went to this years Minneapolis stop on the AVP hot winter nights tour. The players were Nicole Branagh, Jenny Kropp, Tyra Turner, Jen Boss, Todd Rogers, Stein Metzger, Matt Olson, and Anthony Medel. It was awesome to see all the players, espically Todd Rodgers, 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist.
My girlfriend and I sat in the first row, just behind and to the left of the referee stand. It was so cool to hear the players talk on the court. The atmosphere at the Target Center was good. It didn't seem to be as full as last year, 2008, which was a little disapointing.
My only complaint is that they did pool play, playing doubles, then then championship was playing co ed 4's. I didn' t like that because pool play was 2's and they were playing on a short court. I'm just picky I guess.
I will totally go to the event again, also I planning on heading to Chicago for the tour stop in 2009.
